Located in Melbourne, eComms, a Mitel partner provide PABX and integrated voice and data (VoIP) solutions to customers nationally. With a 25-year history, our team at eComms have established ourselves as experts in telecommunication solutions.

Due to ongoing growth and expansion within the business we now seek an experienced Mitel telecommunications engineer to join our technical services team.

Job tasks and responsibilities

As a Mitel Telecommunications Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Configuration and implementation of complex Mitel solutions.
  • Interpreting and executing customer Mitel change requests.
  • Logging time, notes and customer communications using ConnectWise ticketing system.
  • Performing Mitel system deployments, server upgrades, system testing, fault identification, rectification and escalation.
  • Develop supporting documentation.
  • Maintain lab system for testing.

Skills and experience

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Mitel systems.
  • Knowledge of Mitel MiVoice Business, MiCollab, Contact Centre and Call Recording (desirable).
  • Similar experience with other PABX products will be considered.
  • Understanding of Telephony, UC, VoIP, SIP and IP Networking principles (CCNA desirable).
  • Familiarity with voice and data cabling infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Server, Linux, VMware and Hyper-V virtualisation.
  • High energy, positive attitude with the ability to quickly develop trust and meaningful relationships.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgement with minimal supervision.
